I have never been so excited for a Monday! Tomorrow I launch my 2020 Sail Away Calendar. It’s full of joyful watercolors of ports around the world on a sailing adventure of a lifetime! One to take every day on your desk- via my watercolors. 🤗 The design is new- featuring full bleed artwork and delicate dates to keep your organized. All arriving in the most beautiful aqua box - inspired by the color of the ocean, and sealed with a custom wax seal- reminiscent of the old world sailing vessels. It’s funny sometimes how inspiration builds upon itself. The concepts that would become the 2020 calendar began in 2018, when my husband and I were in Florida. Anytime we weren’t meandering down the vias in Palm Beach, we spent along the marshes and lakes in Florida fishing. Well, he fished. I painted. To be clear. A catch phrase which we have repeated since then is “we need a boat.” Once we awoke to the “need,” this perpetual reminder served as fodder for a predisposition towards boating and the coastline. A new colorful approach to my branding seemed to deepen the idea- the aqua blue box was a perfect wrapping for a sea borne adventure. Lastly, disenchanted with my blue watercolors, I went out and purchased a slew of colors- totaling seventeen blue hues to choose from as I painted my way around the world- port to port. I detail this in my stories this morning- and I’m including some inspiration images I used during the process. 👏🏻9 👏🏻 16 👏🏻 19 👏🏻is 👏🏻 so 👏🏻 soon👏🏻

My 2020 calendar is launching this Monday, and over the weekend I’m going to be sharing some insight into how I developed the collection’s concept, artwork, and chat a bit about my packaging- which helped direct the artwork.
